Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka retained the top spot and extended her lead after winning the Miami Open over the weekend.

Sabalenka defeated Gauff in three sets in Saturday's final, defending her title and completing the "Sunshine Double," meaning she won both the Indian Wells and the Miami Open in the same season.

Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina is ranked No. 2.

Świątek, a former world No. 1, was eliminated in the second round in Miami and now trails Gauff by 15 ranking points.

The 24-year-old Pole said last Monday she was ending her partnership with her Belgian coach Wim Fissette after less than a year-and-a-half working together.

Meanwhile, Poland’s second-highest ranked player Magdalena Fręch dropped one place to 38th in the latest WTA rankings, while countrywoman Magda Linettewho beat Świątek in Miamifell from No. 50 to No. 57.

Świątek completed the Sunshine Double in 2022 and also won Indian Wells in 2024.
