"Another success in the Himalayas: Bartek Ziemski has just skied down Mount Everest, exactly one week after his success on Lhotse," the Polish Mountaineering Association wrote on social media.

"It is his ninth eight-thousander, conquered without bottled oxygen or Sherpa support," it added.

The association said it received confirmation directly from Everest base camp, where Ziemski safely returned after completing the expedition.

Earlier this month, Ziemski climbed Lhotse, the world’s fourth-highest peak, and completed a ski descent from the summit, becoming one of the few climbers to achieve the feat without supplemental oxygen.
