The team will comprise 15 girls and 10 boys competing in 12 sports and 25 events.
Poland's athletes will compete in athletics, 3x3 basketball, swimming, road cycling, archery, boxing, fencing, judo, table tennis, windsurfing and triathlon.
One of Poland's leading medal hopes is judoka Julia Błaszczyk, who will compete in the 44 kg category. She won a bronze medal at this year's Cadet World Championships in the same weight class.
Table tennis player Patryk Żyworonek is another Polish medal contender. He won a Youth Contender tournament this year, competing in Slovenia against players two years older than him. He also qualified for the 2026 Europe Youth Top 10 tournament.
Shot putter Kinga Jackowska has also enjoyed international success this year, winning bronze at the European Under-18 Championships.
A total of 2,700 athletes from 207 delegations are expected to compete in 25 sports in Dakar.
Representatives of 10 additional sports will also take part in activities aimed solely at promotion, education and fan engagement.
The Dakar Games will be the first Olympic event held in Africa.
Poland's delegation will be the country's smallest at a Youth Olympic Games.
Poland sent 43 athletes to the inaugural Games in Singapore in 2010, fifty-nine to Nanjing, China in 2014, and 69 to Buenos Aires in 2018.
In Buenos Aires, Poland's Iga Świątek and Slovenia's Kaja Juvan won the women's doubles tennis gold medal. They defeated Japan's Yuki Naito and Naho Sato 6-7, 7-5, 10-4 in the final.
Świątek entered the Games after winning the junior Wimbledon title earlier that year.
The fourth Youth Olympic Games will be held in Dakar from October 31 to November 13.
