Tennis: Poland's Hurkacz reaches Chengdu semi-finals

Fifth seed Hubert Hurkacz beat South Africa's Lloyd Harris 7-6 (12-10), 6-4 in the quarter-finals of the ATP 250 hard-court tournament in Chengdu, China.

The Polish player will face Denis Shapovalov in the semi-finals, after the Canadian eliminated France's Adrian Mannarino.

In the doubles event, Poland's Jan Zieliński and Britain's Luke Johnson reached the final, where they will meet either top-seeded French pair Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti, or the American-Swedish duo of Robert Galloway and Andre Goransson.

Hurkacz will face Shapovalov in the semi-finals on Monday at 7 p.m. local time.
