Football: Sweden beat Poland 3-1 in Nations League clash

Sweden beat Poland 3-1 in Solna on Monday, with two quick goals in the second half deciding a Nations League match that had been level at half-time.

Sebastian Szymański had equalised for Poland after Benjamin Nygren's early header put the hosts ahead, but Yasin Ayari and Viktor Gyokeres struck within eight minutes of each other after the break to seal the win.

Robert Lewandowski was left out of Poland's starting line-up, coming on only in the 88th minute.

Sweden, unbeaten so far, top the group after also winning their opener against Romania.

Poland have one point after two games, having drawn with Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday.

The Nations League is UEFA's competition for European national teams, played in groups with promotion and relegation between divisions.
