The championships will be held in early March at the Kujawsko-Pomorska Arena in Toruń.
European Athletics, the continental governing body for the sport, selected Toruń after reviewing Poland's bid and hearing a final presentation from the Polish delegation in Lausanne, Switzerland, Poland's PAP news agency reported.
"The choice of Poland to host the European Indoor Championships in 2029 is proof of the trust placed in us by European Athletics," Sebastian Chmara, head of the Polish Athletics Association (PZLA), said in a statement.
Poland has regularly hosted major events organised by World Athletics and European Athletics in recent years, Chmara said, adding that Toruń had established itself as a host city for major international athletics events.

The 2029 championships will be the second European indoor championships held in Toruń, following the 2021 event.

The next European Indoor Championships are scheduled for March 4-7, 2027, in Valencia, Spain.
European Athletics also announced on Thursday that the 2030 European outdoor championships will be held in Helsinki, which was chosen over Brussels.
The event will take place at Helsinki Olympic Stadium and will mark the fourth time the Finnish capital has hosted the European championships.
The 2028 European Athletics Championships in Chorzów will be the first outdoor continental track-and-field championships to be held in Poland.
In March this year, Poland won four medals—one gold, one silver and two bronze—at the 2026 World Athletics Indoor Championships on home turf in Toruń.
