Lewandowski’s goal in the 88th minute marked the 68th time the Poland international has scored in the Champions League across 89 matches.

The Polish marksman has found the back of the net 15 times in this season’s Champions League, earning a place in the competition's history books.

Only Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has netted more goals in a single Champions League campaign, scoring 17 in the 2013/2014 season.

Lewandowski’s Bayern will take on PSG in the Champions League final in Lisbon on Sunday.

The Polish goal machine has finished runner-up in the ranking of the top scorers in Europe's biggest football leagues this season, behind Ciro Immobile of Italian outfit Lazio.

The 31-year-old Pole was in May crowned the top scorer of Germany's Bundesliga premier league in the 2019/2020 season, his fifth such trophy since he began playing in Germany in 2010.
