Both teams play in Italy’s top Serie A league.

The 25-year-old Pole has signed a four-year contract with his new club. Details of the transfer deal have not been released.

Linetty has scored 11 goals in 132 games over four seasons with Sampdoria.

He has been capped 23 times for Poland, finding the back of the net once for his country.

Poland manager Jerzy Brzęczek has called him up for duty when the national side takes on the Netherlands on September 4 and Bosnia-and-Herzegovina three days later in the group stage of the 2020-2021 UEFA Nations League.
