The award, which aims to select the best football player in the world, is set to be presented by world football’s governing body on January 17.
Lewandowski, who captains Poland’s national team, is seeking his second straight FIFA best player award.
The Pole was in December 2020 named FIFA's world player of the year for 2020, beating Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.
The 33-year-old was at the weekend named Polish athlete of the year for 2021 after a public vote.
The Polish football star was last month named the best male athlete of 2021 in an annual poll held by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).
The Poland international was in May crowned the top scorer of Germany's Bundesliga premier league for the 2020/2021 season, his sixth such trophy since he began playing in Germany in 2010.
Lewandowski at the end of last week scored his first goal of 2022 in his Bayern Munich side's 1-2 defeat against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the German Bundesliga.
The Polish goal machine, who plays for Bayern, found the back of the net in the 18 minute of the game in Munich on January 7.
Lewandowski has scored 20 goals in the German Bundesliga this season and leads the table among the division’s top scorers.
