Tennis: Poland’s Świątek climbs back to world No. 4 after Doha win

Poland’s Iga Świątek has moved up four spots to climb back to a career-high No. 4 in the latest rankings by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA).

The 20-year-old Pole, coached by countryman Tomasz Wiktorowski, on Saturday won the Qatar Open tennis tournament in Doha.

Świątek cruised past 26-year-old Estonian Anett Kontaveit 6-2, 6-0 in the final to claim her second WTA 1000 title and her fourth career singles title.

Meanwhile, Poland's Magda Linette has climbed five notches to 62nd place in the new WTA rankings, which were released on Monday.

Australia's Ashleigh Barty remains world No. 1, followed by the Czech Republic's Barbora Krejčíková and Belarusian star Aryna Sabalenka.
