The Polish world No. 1, who is the defending champion at Indian Wells, dispatched the 77th-ranked British player 6-3, 6-1 in the women’s singles competition at the tournament in the California desert.
The 21-year-old Pole will now face Sorana Cirstea of Romania for a place in the last four.
Świątek, coached by countryman Tomasz Wiktorowski, has topped the Women's Tennis Association's (WTA) world rankings since April last year.
The Polish player last month won the Qatar Open tennis tournament in Doha to claim her 12th career singles title.
Świątek defeated Greece's Maria Sakkari 6-4, 6-1 in the final of the women's singles at last year's Indian Wells.
