Other standout names on the list are experienced Norwegian driver Mads Østberg and New Zealand's Hayden Paddon, who leads the European Championship series after two rounds held in Portugal and the Canary Islands.

Poland's Kajetan Kajetanowicz, a three-time European champion and three-time Rally Poland winner, will also join the field, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

In all, almost 90 crews will take part in the 79th Rally Poland, which will also be the third round of the European Championship, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

The rally will start on Friday, May 19, in the northeastern lakeside resort of Mikołajki and run until May 21.
