The aim of the test is to run as far as possible for 12 minutes while pacing oneself as the participant will not cover a maximal distance if he/she begins with sprint. The final result is based on the distance the person ran, their age and their gender.

Also on Sunday, almost 8,000 runners took part in the Polish leg of this year’s Wings for Life World Run, whose goal is to raise funds for research into spinal cord injuries. An annual international charity event this year attracted more than 200,000 competitors worldwide. In Poland the organizers have prepared over 8000 starting kits and registered participants had to pay 80- zl for each. All of them sold out within 2.5 hrs after registration opened. "I am doing it because I have friends in the US and Spain who are running today. They told me about the race. This is the first time, it is really interesting and for a good cause so I have decided to join" Edgar Ortis, an American living in Poland, who ran in Warsaw, told OFFSIDE.
