The Polish player will next face Australia's Alexei Popyrin for a place in the semifinals at the hard-court tournament in Cincinnati.
The Western & Southern Open tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio, also known as the Cincinnati Open or Cincinnati Masters, is for many top tennis players the final warm-up before the US Open Grand Slam event, which begins on August 28.
