Volleyball: Poland advance to quarterfinals of women's EuroVolley

Poland have advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship by beating Germany 3-0.

The Poles defeated Germany 3-0 in their knockout stage match in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, on Sunday night.

Poland beat Slovenia 3-0 in their opening game at the tournament and followed up with a 3-1 win against Hungary. The Polish team then lost 1-3 to Serbia, defeated Belgium 3-0 and beat Ukraine 3-1.

The Poles will now take on Türkiye for a place in the semifinals on Wednesday.

The 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship, also known as the EuroVolley tournament, is being held in Belgium, Estonia, Germany and Italy from August 15 to September 3.
