US Open: Poland’s Linette into women’s doubles quarterfinals

Poland’s Magda Linette and Bernarda Pera of the United States have booked their place in the quarterfinals of the women’s doubles competition at the US Open tennis tournament in New York.

The Pole and the American beat the all-American duo of Sophie Chang and Alycia Parks 7-6, 6-2 in the round of 16 at Flushing Meadows on Monday.

Linette and Pera will now play American Jennifer Brady and Brazilian Luisa Stefani for a place in the last four of the Grand Slam tournament in New York.

Meanwhile, Poland's Jan Zieliński has reached the quarterfinals of the US Open men's doubles, partnering with Hugo Nys of Monaco.
