The 26-year-old Pole, ranked No. 11 in the world, beat Spain’s Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, in the second round in Paris on Wednesday.
During the match, Hurkacz also served his 1,000th ace of the season, and now has 1,004 so far this year, according to the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Hurkacz next faces Francisco Cerundolo of Argentina for a spot in the quarterfinals, the organisers said.
Hurkacz is playing for his eighth career singles title in Paris, while also seeking to secure a berth in the season-ending ATP Finals next month.
At the weekend, the Pole played in the final of the Swiss Indoors tournament in Basel, where he lost 4-6, 7-6, 6-7 to Canada's Félix Auger-Aliassime.
Earlier this month, Hurkacz, who is coached by American Craig Boynton, won his seventh singles title by beating Russia's Andrey Rublev in the final of the Shanghai Masters tournament in China.
The 2023 Paris Masters indoor hard-court tournament runs until Sunday.
