Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz lost in the quarterfinals of the Paris Masters tennis tournament in France. On Friday, the 26-year-old Pole, currently ranked 11th by the ATP, was beaten by Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov 6-1, 4-6, 6-4. The quarter-final duel started shortly after 2 PM local time, but after an hour and a half it was already finished.
This loss ends Hurkacz dreams of securing a regular berth in the season-ending ATP Finals later this month, yet he can still make the substitutes list. However, without earning a higher spot in Paris, this also became pretty complicated, and might be earned only by his spotless performances in the tournaments in Paris, Metz and Sofia scheduled for the following weeks.
