With this result, the Polish sprinter has also claimed the second spot in the European charts of 2024. So far, only Luxembourg's Patrizia van der Weken was faster this year, running this distance in 7.17 seconds.
Stefanowicz's time in the qualifying round was 7.26, and in the final she improved by 0.04 seconds. Thanks to this success, she gained 1.204 points in the World Athletics ranking (1.144 for the result + 60 for winning the category C meeting). It is her best result during the Olympic qualification period, beating the previous top score of 1.197 points gained for winning the Polish Championships silver medal in the 100-meter race, with a time of 11.42 seconds.
In the Polish history of women's 60-meter run, only seven times has anyone run the 60-meter distance faster: Ewa Swoboda (6.99 in 2022), Pia Skrzyszowska (7.12 in 2022), Ewa Pisiewicz (7.18 in 1986), Irena Szewińska (7.20 in 1974), Daria Onyśko (7.20 in 2007), Marika Popowicz (7.20 in 2016) and Anna Kiełbasińska (7.21 in 2021).
