Paris 2024: Poland’s Bajor reaches last 16 of Olympic table tennis

Poland's Natalia Bajor has reached the last 16 of the women's singles at the Olympic table tennis tournament in Paris, with a 4-3 win on Tuesday over Portugal's Yu Fu.

The Pole will next face Cheng I-Ching of Taiwan for a place in the round of eight.

Meanwhile, Poland's Katarzyna Węgrzyn has bowed out of the women's singles competition in Paris after losing her round-of-32 match to Sweden's Linda Bergstrom 1-4 on Monday.

On the men's side, Poland's Miłosz Redzimski beat Egyptian Mohamed El-Beiali 4-0 in the round of 64 on Sunday.

In the women's team competition, Poland is set to face Japan in the round of 16.

The Polish team is made up of Bajor, Węgrzyn and Zuzanna Wielgos.
