Poland’s male U-19 volleyball team have taken silver at the 2025 FIVB Boys’ U19 World Championship - the global tournament for players aged under 19 - after losing 3–1 (25:22, 22:25, 15:25, 12:25) to France in Sunday’s final in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Coached by the experienced Jacek Nawrocki, the Polish squad opened the final strongly by winning the first set. However, the French side responded with increasing dominance, taking the next three sets to seal the title.
Earlier in the tournament, Poland experienced setbacks in the group stage - including a 3–1 loss to Spain - but rebounded impressively in the knockouts. In the semi-finals, they defeated the Spanish team convincingly in straight sets (25–16, 25–16, 25–20).
Spain went on to beat Iran 3–2 (23–25, 25–23, 15–25, 25–21, 15–10) in the third-place match to take bronze.
Despite falling short in the final, the Polish team’s silver medal adds another chapter to the country’s strong tradition in international volleyball.
