The 27-year-old Pole, who is ranked world No. 30 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), defeated Italian qualifier Lucrezia Stefanini 6-0, 7-6 in the round of 16.
The fourth-seeded Polish player, who had a bye in the first round, will now face Nikola Bartunkova of the Czech Republic for a place in the last four at the hard-court tournament in Guadalajara, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Fręch won last year's Guadalajara Open to claim her first career singles title. She defeated Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki 7-6, 6-4 in the championship match.
The 2025 Guadalajara Open event runs until Sunday.
