Exactly eleven days after his 10-plus-million Euro transfer from Polish Ekstraklasa's Jagiellonia Białystok, Oskar Pietuszewski made his debut for the Portuguese giants FC Porto. The Polish youth international came on in the 73rd minute of the league match against Vitoria Guimaraes, replacing Borja Sainz on the left wing.
A few minutes later, Pietuszewski was fouled by Arcanjo and won a penalty - converted by teammate Alan Varela into what turned out to be the sole goal of the game, sealing Porto's victory.
Throughout his time on the pitch, Pietuszewski impressed with his flair, aggression and tenacity - being a constant source of trouble for the rivals. In the 98th minute, Arcanjo fouled the Pole again - earning him a second yellow card and a premature dismissal.
Out of two other Poles playing for Porto, Jakub Kiwior played the entire game while Jan Bednarek came on in the 88th minute. Following their hard-won triumph against Victoria, FC Porto remains unbeaten in the league with 17 wins and 1 draw. They top the Portuguese top flight, seven points ahead of second-placed Sporting CP.
