The fourth-seeded Polish-British pair lost 2-6, 6-3, 3-6 to Australians Jason Kubler and Marc Polmans at Melbourne Park.

Zieliński was the last Polish player still in contention at the tournament.

On Wednesday, Poland's world No. 2 Iga Świątek was knocked out of the women’s singles, falling 5-7, 1-6 to fifth-seeded Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan in the quarterfinals.

In 2023, Zieliński reached the Australian Open men’s doubles final alongside Hugo Nys of Monaco, losing to Kubler and fellow Australian Rinky Hijikata. That remains the Pole’s best Grand Slam result in men’s doubles.

Zieliński also competed in the mixed doubles in Melbourne this year, pairing with Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan. The duo won the Australian Open mixed doubles title in 2024 but were eliminated in the first round this year.
