Lewandowski started the match wearing a protective mask after a facial injury and scored two goals before being substituted in the 66th minute, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
The goals were his 108th and 109th in the Champions League, and Newcastle became the 41st club he has scored against in the competition.
The first leg in England ended in a 1-1 draw.
Barcelona's Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny also featured, coming on in the 82nd minute for the injured Joan Garcia.
Barcelona will face Atletico Madrid in the quarterfinals after the Spanish side defeated Tottenham Hotspur over two legs.
The first match is scheduled for April 7 in Barcelona.
The two teams are also set to meet in a league match three days earlier at Atletico’s Metropolitano stadium.
Lewandowski has scored 109 Champions League goals in 142 appearances, with 17 for Borussia Dortmund, 69 for Bayern Munich and 23 for Barcelona.
The 37-year-old scored his first goal in the competition on October 19, 2011, against Olympiakos.
The Champions League final is scheduled for May 30 in Budapest.
