The Kraków gig is part of the musician’s European tour following the release of his ninth studio album, entitled Down the Road Whenever.

Knopfler, best known for leading rock band Dire Straits, will play the band’s hit songs from their landmark 1985 album Brothers in Arms such as “Money for Nothing,” “Your Latest Trick” and "Walk of Life.”

Since the early 1990s he has pursued a solo career.

Knopfler was set to perform in Poland’s northern port of Gdynia on Thursday.
