The concert will be Metallica's 12th in Poland, and follows on from a gig in the southern city of Kraków last year.

The WorldWired Tour has seen Metallica play more than 150 concerts on four continents over the last three years.

In Warsaw, fans will be treated to hits including "Nothing Else Matters," "One," "The Unforgiven" and songs from the band's last album, Hardwired ... to Self-Destruct.

Metallica was formed in 1981 in Los Angeles and first came to Poland in 1987, playing to a crowd of 8,000 in the southern city of Katowice.
