English-language Polish spy film hits cinemas

"The Coldest Game," an English-language Polish spy thriller set in the 1960s, hits cinemas in Poland on Friday.

The film, starring American actor Bill Pullman and Dutch actress Lotte Verbeek, had its premiere screening in Warsaw on Monday.

The Coldest Game, a directorial debut by filmmaker Łukasz Kośmicki, also features Polish actor Robert Więckiewicz.

The movie tells the story of a former American chess master who is recruited by a CIA agent and flown to Warsaw for an intelligence mission at the height of the 1962 Cuban missile crisis.
