The 50-minute film is about how an individual can change the life of a typical teenager and how a teacher can also change under the influence of his pupils.

The film’s hero is Ignacy Rejmak, a physics teacher in two high schools in northern Poland, whose incredible passion has a positive impact on a child's approach to learning and life.

Ignacy Rejmak is the recipient of a special award from the festival’s jury, which in previous years has gone to filmmakers.

Chris Hastings, head of The Satisfied Eye Festival, has described Rejmak as a teacher that everyone would love to have. “We just had to give this award solely to him”, he said.

The soundtrack for Underage Engineers is by Oscar-winning Polish composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek.
