The annual event will see a weeklong feast of concerts, performances, film screenings, exhibitions, culinary workshops and more.
The festival is held in various venues around the Polish capital every year, but primarily in a part of the city that was once the hub of Warsaw's Jewish community.
By doing so, it brings back the memories of the significant place occupied by the Jewish community in the Polish capital before WWII.
The list of performers this year includes US-American sound installation artist Paul Brody, based in Berlin, and cantor Yoni Rose, based in Frankfurt.
The festival takes its name from Isaac Bashevis Singer, a Polish-born Jewish-American author, many of whose novels are set in Poland, and in particular Warsaw's old Jewish district around Krochmalna Street, where Singer's father was a rabbi. In 1978, Singer received the Nobel literary prize.
This year's event runs until August 29 to offer a wealth of opportunities to explore and celebrate Jewish culture and tradition.
