Chopin piano competition in Warsaw: round 2, day 4

Tuesday marked the fourth and final day of auditions for pianists looking to secure spots in the third round of the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw.

Forty-five pianists, five more than originally planned, had qualified for the second stage of the competition, which started on October 9.

The names of those qualified for the third round were expected to be announced late in the evening on Tuesday.
