A graduate of the renowned Warsaw theatre school, Ross was an actor, satirist and screenwriter who etched himself in the national consciousness with his comedy shows, such as Zulu-Gula and Rossmówki, the latter co-authored with the celebrated actor Piotr Fronczewski.
Later in life, Ross also entered politics with the centrist Civic Platform (PO) party, becoming a member of parliament in 2007 and a European lawmaker in 2013.
For the last three years of his life, he represented the Civic Coalition grouping in the Warsaw City Council.
