The Champion is a feature film by Maciej Barczewski that tells the story of Tadeusz ‘Teddy’ Pietrzykowski, a pre-war boxing champion who during his three-year stay at the German concentration camp of Auschwitz was forced by the camp officers to fight in the ring for his and other prisoners’ lives.
