Dorociński unveiled the news in a Facebook post, Polish state news agency PAP reported on Sunday.

The Polish actor wrote: “After months of speculation, I can confirm, with delight and not inconsiderable emotion, that I will appear in this legendary series.”

Dorociński added: “When the first movie of the Mission: Impossible franchise came out in 1996, I was still a student at the Theatre Academy.”

The Polish actor went on to say: “If somebody had told me then that 26 years later I would play in the last two films in the Ethan Hunt story, under a director who wrote the screenplay to The Usual Suspects and Top Gun: Maverick, I would have said: ‘No, it’s impossible.’”

Dorociński stressed: “Believe in your dreams and don’t give up. Your big, much-awaited dream may be just around the corner.”

Launched in 1996, the Mission: Impossible series, produced by and starring the Hollywood star Tom Cruise, comprises six movies so far, with the highest-grossing being 2018’s Mission: Impossible - Fallout, the PAP news agency reported.

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning 1 is scheduled to premiere in 2023, with Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning 2 expected to hit the cinemas in 2024; both will feature Poland’s Dorociński, the naekranie.pl website reported.
