The city’s popular American Film Festival is due to open on November 8 and run until November 13, offering 37 productions that have never before been seen by Polish audiences.

The event, now in its 13th year, aims to present the full spectrum of American filmmaking, including features, documentaries and experimental movies, in addition to work by independent filmmakers.

This year's festival will open with Bones and All, the latest offering from director Luca Guadagnino, starring Taylor Russell and Timothée Chalamet.

Meanwhile, the last day of the festival will see a screening of The Son by Oscar-winning filmmaker Florian Zeller, starring Anthony Hopkins, Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern and Vanessa Kirby.

Festival-goers will be able to catch a glimpse of some American filmmakers this year, including director Nina Menkeswho is set to receive an award recognising her achievements in American indie cinema.
