Entitled Ukraine: Under a Different Sky, the show features more than 200 works created in recent months in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
The Centre for Contemporary Art writes on its website that the war "turned out to be a moment of artistic liberation," with artists using different media to bear witness to the tragic events.
It adds that the works presented at the exhibition document the brutality of Russian invaders and "appeal to global conscience."
Exhibition co-curator Marcel Skierski told the Polish Press Agency (PAP) that the majority of the works refer to various aspects of the notion of Ukrainian identity.
“After the outbreak of the war, Ukrainians began pondering their country’s role in the world and its cultural patterns,” he said, adding that the works on display refer to both Ukrainian folklore and avant-garde Western art.
The exhibition, co-curated by Victoria Burlaka and Beata Łupińska-Rytel, runs until March 12.
