Polish pianist Kamil Pacholec to play at Carnegie Hall

Young Polish pianist Kamil Pacholec will give a recital at New York’s Carnegie Hall on Tuesday.

The concert includes works by J.S. Bach, Isaac Albéniz and Fryderyk Chopin.

The event’s motto is "Homage to Arthur Rubinstein" to mark the 40th anniversary of the death of the legendary Polish pianist.

Pacholec was born in 1998. He is studying with American pianist Kevin Kenner for his doctorate at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami in the United States.

Earlier this year, Pacholec graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, northern Poland, under Ewa Pobłocka.

Last year, he won an honourable mention at the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

His upcoming engagements include an appearance at the Berlin Philharmonic in March.
