FOCUS :: Covering global issues with local impact

A small media startup called Outriders has been named among the winners of the 2022 Passport Awards for their project called "One day in.." done in cooperation with Ukrayina.pl website, and aimed at presenting the reality of six war-torn Ukrainian cities to their audience in Poland.

Founded by Anna Górnicka and Jakub Górnicki in 2017, the Outriders journalist collective was awarded in the category of digital culture. "We are a non profit newsroom covering global issues having local impact. We seek answers to problems, fears and needs. We explain things which happen far, but influence our daily lives." they told Radio Poland after accepting the unexpected prize.
