Her award-winning shot, entitled "Devil’s Desert," features an outwardly landscape of deep-red hills and rock of the Puna de Atacama plateau in northwestern Argentina.
Founded 16 years ago, the competition attracts photographers armed with nothing more than their iPhones or iPads.
This year, the organisers received submissions from more than 140 countries.
Prizes were awarded in 14 different categories, including Animals, Portrait, Cityscape, Abstract, Architecture, Children, Landscape, Lifestyle, Nature, People, Portrait, Still Life, and Sunset.
The Grand Prize went to Mexican photographer Ivan Silva for a shot of a young football fan wearing a Messi shirt.
