Now in its ninth edition, the awards ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday.

Six finalists, chosen by the competition’s jury from candidates across the nation, await the announcement of the 2023 POLIN Award winner during a ceremony at the museum.

The total financial rewards for the finalists surpass PLN 77,000 (EUR 17,800, USD 19,300).

The competition is designed to promote efforts to safeguard the memory and history of Polish Jews, while also seeking to foster a shared future, mutual understanding and respect, according to the organizers.

Established in 2015, the POLIN Award has celebrated eight recipients to date, with over 50 individuals recognized as finalists in the competition.
