'Around the World' project by JAZZ PO POLSKU set to enter its second stage

The second stage of the JAZZ PO POLSKU Foundation's "Around the World" project, inspired by the achievements of the Polish traveler Paweł Edmund Strzelecki, will begin this April. From mid-2023 till late 2025, this humongous international concert tour sends top young Polish jazz artists to such distant corners of the world as, among others, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Canada and the Republic of Korea.

This year's part of the project will be inaugurated with the concerts of two Polish Jazz Juniors festival winners - the bands Unleashed Cooperation and JAH Trio. From April 4th to 27th, Unleashed Cooperation will play a tour around the Balkans and the Three Seas countries visiting, among others, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary. Meanwhile, on 11th, 12th and 13th April, JAH Trio will perform at the Odd Sound Jazz Festival in Montreal, Canada.

Then, from April 16th to 30th, the Polish duo of Piotr Damasiewicz and Kuba Wójcik will perform on a concert tour in Bangladesh and India. These acclaimed Polish musicians, in cooperation with local artists, will create special events and conduct workshops for local students. On April 30th, they will also take part in the celebration of International Jazz Day in New Delhi.

At the end of April another Polish jazz band, Confusion Project, will go on a concert tour in China with a guest appearance by the Italian singer Simona De Rosa. They will perform, among others, at the Blue Note club in Beijing and at the Lincoln Center in Shanghai.

Soon after, on May 18th, the Polish duo Piotr Damasiewicz - Aleksandra Kryńska will perform at the Polish Culture Festival in Tokyo. On May 21st, they will also perform with Wojtek Mazolewski at the Haremame club in Tokyo. And from June 26th to 28th, Poland's Tomasz Chyła Quintet will perform at the 30th anniversary edition of the Klaipeda Castle Jazz Festival in Lithuania.

In the second half of 2024, Polish artists participating in JAZZ PO POLSKU Foundation's 'Around the World' project will visit equally distant corners of the world - such as China, Egypt, Indonesia and the Republic of Korea.

JAZZ PO POLSKU Foundation's 'Around the World' project started in May of 2023 - and will last until the end of 2025. Within these three years, leading young Polish jazz artists are scheduled to visit at least 20 countries and play over 100 concerts on 4 continents - out of which over 60 concerts in 10 countries have already been performed.
