Sixteen eager blacksmithing enthusiasts from across Poland will be hammering away, supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Dubbed the “Forge of Talents,” Wojciechów is home to Poland’s only blacksmithing school, preserving the art of traditional Polish folk blacksmithing. Since 1995, over 450 individuals have attended these workshops, with many going on to establish their own forges or work in related industries.

This year’s workshops feature a diverse group of 16 participants, including three women and thirteen men aged 18 to 49. The eclectic mix includes not only professional metalworkers but also a jeweler, a sculptor, and even a lawyer, all coming together to learn the intricacies of forging and decorating metal.

Under the guidance of skilled master blacksmiths, they will also delve into the history of blacksmithing, marketing, and the legal aspects of starting and running a forge.
