Student choir from Poland’s Szczecin scoops top honours in Bali

The Choir of the Maritime University in Szczecin, north-western  Poland, has won several awards at the Bali International Choir Festival in Indonesia.

It received first prizes in the mixed-choir and pop&jazz categories, as well as the golden diplomas in three categories: mixed-choir, pop&jazz, and musica sacra.

The 14th Bali International Choir Festival attracted more than 80 choirs, mostly from China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea and Australia.

The Polish choir was one of the two from Europe.

During its two-week tour, the 49-strong choir from Szczecin also performed at the Expo 2025 in Osaka Kansai in Japan.
