The school said Płoski, a graduate who studied editing, is among the creators featured in the fifth season’s music. “Car Boy” is used in Episode 3, titled “The Turnbow Trap.”

According to the school, the collaboration began when series music supervisor Nora Felder sent Płoski a brief message. The producer initially feared it was automated. “Nora turned out to be human, which was delightful, because I trust people more than bots,” he said in the statement. After several months negotiating the deal, he was told two weeks before the premiere that his song would be included and signed the final documents the day before the episode aired.

Citing correspondence with the streaming platform, the school said the track was likely discovered by chance through Spotify’s algorithms. The production chose the work’s most energetic and experimental section. Płoski said he never imagined his music would appear in one of the biggest pop-culture productions of the century.
