Directed by Ohio-based filmmaker Pete Ohs, Erupcja ("Eruption") follows Bethany (Charli xcx) and her partner Rob (Will Madden) whose planned return home is delayed by a volcanic eruption. Stranded in Warsaw, Bethany reconnects with childhood friend Nel (Lena Góra) while exploring the city’s creative spirit.

Described as “an intimate story of a life-changing encounter and a cinematic love letter to Poland,” the film showcases Warsaw’s vibrant energy and landmarks, including the Old Town and the National Museum, where characters admire Jan Matejko’s Battle of Grunwald.

In one trailer scene, Bethany teaches Rob simple Polish phrases like “thank you,” “you’re welcome,” and “I love you,” during a walk through a city park.

Erupcja premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and is scheduled for theatrical release in Poland this spring.
