The tour will also include performances in Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, Santander and Oviedo.
Guest artists joining the orchestra include Israeli American violinist, violist and conductor Pinchas Zukerman and Japanese violinist Fumiaki Miura, winner of the 2009 International Joseph Joachim Competition in Hanover, Germany.
The program will feature works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Antonín Dvořák, as well as Orawa by Polish composer Wojciech Kilar.
The Kilar piece will be conducted from the front desk by Jakub Haufa, the orchestra’s leader.
Ahead of the Spanish tour, the orchestra is scheduled to perform in Wrocław, southwestern Poland, on Friday.
Sinfonia Varsovia has worked closely with Zukerman since 2023, both in Warsaw and on tours to Germany, Turkey and the Canary Islands.
The orchestra was founded in 1984. Yehudi Menuhin served as its first principal guest conductor until his death in 1999.
