Polish Radio’s Trójka marks 64th anniversary with centenary-themed celebrations

01.04.2026 11:30
Polish Radio’s third channel, known as Trójka, will celebrate its 64th anniversary on April 1 with a series of events designed to take listeners back to the analog era, as the station’s jubilee coincides with the 100th anniversary of Polish Radio.

A centerpiece of the day’s programming will be a live radio happening scheduled for 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., when the show “Zapraszamy do Trójki” will be staged in a format meant to resemble a broadcast from 100 years ago.

The program will recreate a time when radio had only a studio and a microphone, with all jingles and musical elements performed live, including songs by Jan Emil Młynarski accompanied by Grzegorz Tarwid.

The station will also air episodes of the cult radio drama “Kocham pana, panie Sułku” alongside the launch of the YouTube channel “Powtórka z rozrywki”. Part of the series created by Jacek Janczarski and performed by Marta Lipińska and Krzysztof Kowalewski will be published there weekly.

The celebrations will conclude with the birthday concert “Ustawiony Konkurs Piosenki vol.2”, the second edition of a format launched a year earlier. As last year, the evening will be hosted by Artur Andrus.

Performers at the concert in Polish Radio’s Agnieszka Osiecka Music Studio will include Andrzej Dąbrowski, Kasia Lins, Kasia Stankiewicz, Barbara Wrońska, Reni Jusis, Waluś Kraksa Kryzys and the band Metro.

The concert will be broadcast on Trójka and streamed on the station’s website and YouTube channel.
