Once a complex of buildings belonging to the Veterinary Institute, now these house two small concert halls, four educational rooms, a café, offices, and an art gallery, and within weeks construction is to begin on what is to be the biggest concert hall in Poland. Present at Sinfonia Varsovia's New Opening was Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska and Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski.
As the Orchestra's director Janusz Marynowski told Elżbieta Krajewska, the ensemble wasn't only about music but also a host of other cultural projects, which could now properly unfold in a district of Warsaw that had not enjoyed an overabundance of such.
The New Opening Festival continues until September 27.
