Armenia's Naré won this year's contest with "Boo!," earning a combined 202 points from national juries and viewers, Polish public broadcaster TVP reported.

Spain's Lucas Paulano, performing "Cuore Bello," finished runner-up with 184 points, followed by France's Alec in third place with 165.

Sas earned 144 points, including 83 from national juries and 61 from fans in an online public vote.

Organisers said online votes from viewers around the world were tallied and converted into points on a proportional basis. They accounted for half of the final score, with the other half coming from judges in participating countries, TVP reported.

The final scores and winner of the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest were announced after the performances on Saturday night.

Sixteen countries took part in this year's contest, which Malta hosted for the third time, following the 2014 and 2016 events.

Poland has a strong record in the competition.

Roxana Węgiel won the 2018 contest with "Anyone I Want to Be," while Viki Gabor won in 2019 after performing "Superhero," a song with an environmental message.

Sara James finished runner-up at the 2021 Junior Eurovision in Paris with "Somebody."

Held since 2003, Junior Eurovision is a song competition for performers aged 9 to 14 and is organised by the European Broadcasting Union.

It follows a format similar to the Eurovision Song Contest, the larger competition for adult performers.
