‘Giants of Polish Science’ project launched

Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) has launched a multi-volume encyclopaedia along with a documentary series about outstanding, and for the most part forgotten, Polish scientists.

“The Polish contribution to civilisation and progress is unknown not only internationally but it’s quite obscure locally, too. So this publication is supposed to fill a certain gap,” IPN head Jarosław Szarek said.
